    Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced Senior Academic Staff Members of the University of Ruhuna holding the posts of Senior Professor, Professor, Associate Professor, Senior Lecturer Grade I and Senior Lecturer Grade II with appropriate academic and professional experience relevant to the Knowledge and Technology Transfer for the Post of Director (part time) of the Knowledge and Technology Transfer Office (KTTO), formerly known as the University Business Linkage (UBL) Cell/Technology Transfer Office (TTO).

    The KTTO functions as a focal point for facilitating the transfer of knowledge, research outcomes and technologies developed within the University to industry 2 | Page and society, with the aim of promoting innovations, inventions, research commercialization and sustainable economic and social development.

    The Director is responsible for providing strategic leadership and coordinating the activities of the KTTO as described in the UGC Circular No.10/2016. (Please refer the Circular and Guidelines through UGC Website for further information). The Director of Knowledge and Technology Transfer Office (KTTO) is appointed for a three years term.

    Applications will be entertained from among Senior Professors, Professors, Associate Professors and senior Lecturer Grade I for the above Post. In the absence of a suitable candidate from the above grades, a Senor Lecturer Grade II will be considered. Therefore, applications will be entertained from Senor Lecturers Grade II as well.

    • The successful applicant will be responsible for liaising with the international visitors and coordinating

It will also be the duty of the Director to develop new links with academic institution and increase the image internationally of the University of Ruhuna. Further the Director is responsible for changing Managerial committee of the CINTA and liaise with Vice Chancellor of University of Ruhuna.


    • This post is tenable for a period of 03 years and the Director will be paid and extra allowance of Rs.4000/- as a monthly honorarium.
