Researcher Position (on assignment basis)
CSL CER is looking for suitable individuals to engage in coastal water and low atmospheric observation and data analysis projects for a period of five (05) years starting from September 2023. The person should be available to work for a period of five years and extension is possible depending on the performance and availability of funds.
Responsibilities
The position is responsible for handling research projects conducted by CSL CER while organizing coastal water cruise and operating un-manned vessel, maintaining air-sea flux tower and mounted observation instruments, communicating with the administrative staff of the University and relevant government agencies under the supervision of the Director.
Qualifications
Candidates should be less than 35 years of age as at closing date of applications. A strong academic background is essential related to Marine Sciences, Physical Oceanography, Hydrology, Meteorology or a related discipline.
Preference will be given to candidates with Postgraduate qualifications and proven track records in conducting research projects in offshore environments, such as deep-sea expeditions, underwater surveys. Familiarity with the challenges posed by such environments is crucial for success in this position.
Remuneration
Rs. 70,000.00 per month for a researcher with B.Sc qualifications,
Rs. 85,000.00 per month for a researcher with postgraduate qualifications (MPhil or M.Sc.).
Continuing Training
The employee has chance to be trained to lift his/her experience in China two weeks per year. CSL
CER will pay the training fee, stipend and international flight.
