Recruitment to the part-time Coaching Staff - Physical Education Unit
Applications are invited from qualified candidates for recruitment as part-time Coaching Staff in the Physical Education Unit, for the year 2023 University of Ruhuna up to 31st March, 2023.
Candidates should be specialized and well-expertise in one or more sports fields given below;
i.) Cricket ii.) Swimming iii). Table Tennis iv). Wrestling
Candidates should have experience and certificates of coaching, qualified by relevant sports federations or any other equivalent institutions.
Remuneration : Payment will be made, at the rate of Rs. 1250/- per hour.

- The prescribed application form is available from the University web site, www.ruh.ac.lk
- All applications should be prepared in the prescribed application (PDF form) published on University Web Site. Any additional details relevant to the post should be attached with the application as Annexes 1,2,3…etc. separately.
- The title of the post should be indicated on the top, left-hand corner of the envelope. Applications which do not confirm these requirements, incomplete applications and applications received after the closing date will be rejected without intimation. Candidates who wish to apply for more than one post, should send separate application forms for each post.
- Duly completed applications on prescribed forms together with copies of relevant certificates etc; should be sent under registered cover to reach the Deputy Registrar (Academic Establishments), University of Ruhuna, Wellamadama, Matara on or before 31st March, 2023.
- University reserves the right to shortlist the candidates and call for interview with such Candidates only.
Special Notes:
- These posts are on part-time basis for a period of one year. Extension of appointments can be considered based on the performances of the particular selected candidates. Candidates are not eligible for a permanent post regarding this appointment.
- The particular Sports Instructor is assigned to accompany his/her team or individuals for participation in tournaments/sports events at the time they represent particular sports events.
