Post: Research Assistant – Full time
Department of Zoology, University of Ruhuna, Matara
Applications are called for the post of Full Time Research Assistant under CARP funded Project
- Research : Sea bass cage culture
Required Qualifications:
- B. Sc. degree in one of the following disciplines:
Fisheries & Aquaculture, Aquatic Resources, Zoology, Biological Science
- Research experience in cage culture, fish feed formulation, preparation, and any other aquaculture related project is an additional qualification.
Other Conditions:
- Cage culture experiments are done in a selected lagoon/ water body. For the easy access to the cages, the candidate should be willing to reside in a place closer to the water body.
- RA should do operational visits to the cage installations by a boat
(All the safety equipment are supplied)
- Candidates living in a closer to Galle, Ambalangoda, Rathgama, Negambo, Chilaw, Puthlam, Batticaloa, are given priority.
- Due to the nature of operations, recruiting a male RA will be considered.
