Submission Instructions

Free registration for all undergraduate students in Sri Lankan State universities

Papers are called from university academics, professionals, research fellows and research students in the discipline of Economics and related subjects.

It is required to submit the extended abstracts including abstracts together to the organizing committee on or before 30th of July 2014.
Extended abstracts (1500-2000 words) and abstracts (200-250 words) submitted will be subject to a process of peer review prior to accept as a conference presentation. After the conference the authors of the selected abstracts have to send their full papers to the organizing committee. Those full papers will be revised by a reviewing panel before publishing in the Sri Lanka Journal of Economic Research.

Authors are requested to align papers with the conference theme and indicate under which sub-theme the papers are presented.

Forward your abstracts and extended abstracts to ruh2014slfue@gmail.com or slerc2014@gmail.com  in MS word format. Please log on to conference website, http://www.slfue.org for more details. In case of diagrams/ formulas developed in any other software are doubtful to appear properly in MS Word, you may send a PDF version together with your doc file. Full papers must contain the title of the paper, name(s) and affiliation(s) of the author(s), abstract (200-250 words) and keywords (3-5 keywords organized alphabetically). The main text of the paper must state the introduction, research problem, review of the relevant literature, methods, data analysis, and conclusion. Full paper must be maximum 15 pages (including references and appendices) in length. In case the length exceeds 15 pages, the authors are required to pay a publication fee of USD10 or (Local authors: LKR1000) for each additional page.

Papers should be original contributions and should not be under consideration for any other conference or publication at the same time. Each submission must accompany a statement of originality in the covering letter addressed to the conference coordinator. A scanned copy of this document should be sent to the conference coordinator with your abstract and extended abstract.In a case where there are multiple authors, the corresponding author can submit a statement of originality.

The reviewers may sometimes request the access to data and calculations during the review process. Relevant authors must be willing to supply these if requested.
