UoR and CIPM Enter into Stronger Collaboration

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between the Faculty of Management and Finance, University of Ruhuna (UoR) and Charted Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) on 18th of January 2021. The objective of the MoU is to commence a partnership on educational collaboration between UoR and CIPM. According to MoU, CIPM to award a Gold Medal and a cash price for the most outstanding student of the Human Resource Management (HRM) specialization area. Moreover, the HRM graduates of the UoR will be entitled to apply for the CIPM affiliate membership while a merit scholarship will also be awarded to a selected student in each year to pursue a CIPM’s professional study program. Additionally, the academic staff of the Department of Human Resource Management at the Faculty of Management and Finance, UoR will take part in and serve as resource persons in seminars, workshops, and conferences hosted by CIPM in the area of HRM.

Senior Professor Sujeewa Amarasena, the Vice Chancellor of UoR, Mr. U. A. C. Obeysekere, the Chief Executive Officer of CIPM, Executive Council members of CIPM, Professor P. A. P. Samantha Kumara, the Dean of Faculty of Management and Finance, Dr. B. L. Galhena, Head of Department of Human Resource Management, academic staff of the Department of Human Resource Management participated the MoU signing ceremony.
