CALLING APPLICATIONS FOR THE POST OF VISITING (PART-TIME) COACHES

The applications are invited from suitably qualified individuals for appointment as Visiting (Part-Time) Coaches in the Physical Education Unit, University of Ruhuna, for the year 2026/2027.

12. Carrom (Men/Women)
13. Rugby (Men)
14. Chess (Men/Women)
15. Tennis (Men/Women)
16. Volleyball (Men/Women)
17. Baseball (Men)

Required Qualifications

Applicants should:

• Have passed the G.C.E. (O/L) Examination with six (06) subjects and three (03) Credit passes, including the First Language (Sinhala/Tamil) and Mathematics; and
• Possess not less than three (03) years of coaching experience in the relevant sport.
• Applicants should be between 25 and 65 years of age.

Rate of Payment

Payment will be made at the rate of Rs. 1 250/- per hour, in accordance with UGC Circular No. 01/2015 and Council Decision No. 433 dated 22.01.2015.

Applications Procedure

• Applications should be submitted only in the prescribed format (Application can download from below link.)
• Applicants applying for more than one sport should submit separate applications for each post.
• The post applied for should be clearly indicated on the top left-hand corner of the envelope.
• Incomplete, illegible, or applications received after the closing date will be rejected without prior notice.
• Applicants currently employed in Government Departments, State Corporations, Statutory Boards, Statutory Bodies, or other Government Institutions should forward their applications through the Head of their respective Institution. However, an advance copy may be submitted.
• Applications submitted by hand will not be accepted. The University shall not be responsible for any applications lost or delayed in transit.
• Duly completed applications, together with certified copies of relevant educational, coaching, and experience certificates, should be sent by registered post to reach the following address, to reach on or before 17.07.2026.
