Join an EU-Funded Research Initiative on Plastic Pollution, Animal-Derived Foods, and Sustainable Packaging

Join our EU-funded research initiative at the Department of Animal Science, University of Ruhuna, and become part of a multidisciplinary team working on innovative environmental solutions. We are seeking motivated graduates for three Research Assistant positions focusing on single use plastic waste mapping, microplastic analysis, and sustainable packaging materials. Selected candidates will gain hands-on experience with advanced laboratory techniques, field-based environmental monitoring, and international collaborative research projects. This initiative aims to tackle the growing challenge of single-use plastic pollution and contribute to sustainable coastal and agricultural ecosystems in Sri Lanka. Candidates will also have opportunities to publish research findings, participate in workshops, and work alongside leading scientists and industry partners. Apply before 12 June 2026.
