Post of Research Assistant (M. Phil. Student) under NRC Grant 2024
Research Project: Development of Sustainable Fish Waste-Based Animal Feed
Applications are called from suitable qualified graduates who are willing to read and work as a Full-time Research Assistant for a Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) Degree for the above research project at the Department of Biosystems technology, Faculty of Technology,University of Ruhuna.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Science/ Agriculture/ Animal science/ Biosystems Technology or Fisheries and Marine Science obtained from a recognized university at graduate level (Specialization and Classes will be preferable for selection)
• Knowledge and Work Experience in Animal feed and fish waste utilization will be an added qualification.

Period of Contract:
The contract period for the above post is two years and you need to get into an agreement with the principal investigator of the project for this period. Contract shall be extended based on the
performance and the upgrading potential for a PhD.
Monthly Stipend:
All-inclusive LKR 70,000 per month (for a bachelor’s degree SLQF Level 06 with 1st class or 2nd class upper division) will be paid based on the payment regulations of the National Research Council of Sri Lanka.
