AHEAD operation of University of Ruhuna invites applications from prospective candidates for the post of manager (Full time-contract basis) to work at the University Business Linkage at the University of Ruhuna.
General Conditions:
- Should be a citizen of Sri Lanka
- Age should be below 35 years
Required qualification:
- A Bachelor’s degree from a University recognized by the UGC
- Minimum of one year or more work experience in patenting, intellectual property or start up, experienced in Research and publication/Business administration /Accountancy or Marketing and excellent presentation skills with good English literacy will be an added advantage.
Professional Competencies required:
- Ability to lead and manage AHEAD activities related to the UBL –Cell efficiently.
- Ability to coordinate and facilitate implementation of a number of commercialization endeavors with complex and diverse activities.
- Ability to analyze and resolve implementation issues effectively.
- Ability to interact with senior academic and administrative staff in the University and the commercial partners.
- Ability to function effectively in a team environment inspiring trust and cooperation of other team members.
- High level of IT literacy.
- Strong communication, negotiating skills and good interpersonal relations.
- High level of proficiency in written and spoken English.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Support the UBL Cell director to monitor and coordinate AHEAD activities under the overall implementation of UGC circular 10/2016, and any subsequent updates at the University.
Salary and Benefits:
- An all-inclusive payment of 79,000.00 per month with EPF and ETF shall be paid, subject to satisfactory performance, from the UBL cell budget. Payment will be made based on the submission of a monthly time sheet and approval by the UBL Cell Director.
