The University of Ruhuna established in 1978, has excelled itself in teaching, research and other academic activities with many outstanding achievements in the recent past. Today it is one of the prime Higher Educational Institutions in the country. I am certain that this Institution will strive even harder in the years to come with vigour and dynamism to be a Centre of Excellence in the region. I wish the University success at its Anniversary Celebrations ".
