Today, Sri Lanka is in a transitional period and rapidly achieving its economic development after the terrible war. The light of this dawn of development spreads in all areas such as social, cultural, economical, and political grounds. In this context, the role of graduates at current has become critical than ever. The public universities in Sri Lanka have been producing effective graduates for the nation. The country should have developed an appropriate policy to utilize those human resources for its development. Today, public universities do not produce mere graduates, but produce graduates with sound knowledge, attitudes and skills who will become the leaders who lead the country towards the prosperity. Therefore, foundation of this programme will be the intention of developing productive graduates. The programme has been organized to run through all four years of university life of the undergraduates. Accordingly, the first part of the programme will be designed to impart basic skills needed for an undergraduate to effectively manage the university life and the final part will be focused on exploiting the opportunities in their respective job market and strengthening their employability. Accordingly, the whole programme has been designed the undergraduates to be gradually developed as effective graduates to fulfill the requirements of the job market.
