| Dean's Office. Medical Officer ( Permanent / Contract / Assignment basis) Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering: Preference will be given for those who have specialized in the following areas: Highway and Transportation Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Management, Engineering Surveying, Geotechnical Engineering, Hydraulic Engineering, Structural Engineering. Department of Electrical and Information Engineering: Preference will be given for those who have specialized in the following areas: Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering: Preference will be given for those who have specialized in the following areas: Applied Thermodynamics, Energy Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Design, Applied Mechanics, Production and Operations Management, Mechatronics, Robotics. Department of Interdisciplinary Studies: Preference will be given to those who have specialized in the following areas:Mathematics and Management and English. Knowledge in aesthetic subject areas such as arts, music, dancing etc. and / or information technology will be an added advantage. All Departments: Areas of specializations should be relevant to the particular department that he / she wishes to apply. Lecturer (Probationary / Contract / Temporary) Areas of specializations should be relevant to the particular department that he/she wishes to apply. Those who will be appointed as Lecturers (Probationary) should read for postgraduate degrees in the subject areas recommended by the Department. Dean's Office: Preference will be given to a candidate who has a recognized professional qualifications in Engineering (Civil / Electrical / Mechanical / Chemical) and more than 3 years industrial experience after professional qualifications in addition to minimum postgraduate qualifications required for the post of Senior Lecturer in Engineering. Major responsibility is to arrange, coordinate, supervise and assess industrial training placements of undergraduates. Application forms and other particulars for the above posts could be obtained by post from the Assistant Registrar (Academic Establishments) by sending a self addressed stamped envelope 22 cm x 10 cm in size or personally calling over at the Office of Assistant Registrar (Academic Establishments) during work hours up to 10th June 2010. Application forms and particulars for the above posts could also be down loaded from the University Web Site of www.ruh.ac.lk.
The title of the post should be indicated on the top, left hand corner of the envelope. Applications which do not confirm to these requirements, incomplete applications and applications received after the closing date will be rejected without intimation.
Candidates from Public Service / Corporations / Statutory Boards should channel their applications through their Heads of Departments / Corporations / Boards.
