6th Sri Lanka University Games will be held at the University of Ruhuna from 16 th to 29 th August 1998. This magnanimous event takes place once in three years in one of the Sri Lankan Universities.

Accordingly, the University of Ruhuna will get yet another opportunity to host this Games in the year 2034, after a lapse of 36 years.

In this glamorous festival 19 sports are compartmentalized and there will be 29 championships altogether, including women championships.

All Sri Lankan Universities will participate in the Games and Ruhuna is expecting 3500 to 4000 participants from all the Universities.
